Our Model of Care -

Healing the Whole Person

At Red Door Life, we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all treatment. Recovery is about more than stopping substance use — it’s about building a life worth living. Our model of care combines evidence-based therapies, innovative tools, and compassionate support across the 12 Dimensions of Human Health and Wellness, ensuring every client receives care that fits their unique goals and values

The 12 Dimensions of Human Health and Wellness

Our treatment model encompasses the full spectrum of human well-being, including mental, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual aspects. By strengthening each of these dimensions, clients create balance, resilience, and purpose in their lives

Client-Centered, Bespoke Care

Every client at Red Door Life is at the center of their care. Each person leads their own interdisciplinary team, which may include a psychiatrist, psychotherapist, life coach, advocate, fitness coach, and companion.

Together, the client and team design a personalized treatment plan that honors the individual’s values, strengths, and hopes for the future.

This approach creates care that feels truly supportive, collaborative, and empowering, not something done to clients, but something built with them.

Recovery is a lifelong journey

At Red Door Life, we recognize that recovery is a lifelong journey and, like any journey, it may include unexpected detours.

Substance use disorders are complex conditions, and relapse can be part of the healing process. What matters most is not the setback, but how quickly and safely someone can take the next step forward.

That’s why we don’t just treat relapse as a possibility; we plan for it, just like a fire drill prepares us for an emergency. By incorporating relapse mitigation into our model of care, we achieve stronger outcomes and greater confidence for clients and their families.

Our approach includes:

   •    Safety nets that reduce the risks of overdose or crisis.
   •    Consistent connection with clients when challenges arise.
   •    Ongoing support to help clients re-engage in treatment quickly and effectively.

No one faces setbacks alone at Red Door Life. We walk alongside clients and families every step of the way, ensuring that recovery remains possible, hopeful, and always within reach.

Innovation Meets Compassion

Our care is rooted in compassion and guided by science. Alongside traditional therapies, we integrate innovative practices like neuroscience education, wearable health technology, holistic therapies, and recovery-focused wellness programs.

.

These tools are not gimmicks; they are safeguards, motivators, and bridges that support clients in building long-term stability and meaning.

Integration not isolation

At Red Door Life, our model is built on integration, not isolation. We believe recovery happens best when people are supported in living real lives — not when they are cut off from the world. While many programs rely on taking away phones, wallets, car keys, or access to loved ones, we know that these restrictions often create frustration and distance. They can also shift staff into the role of enforcers instead of partners.

We take a different approach. Our team members are called Recovery Partners because their role is to walk alongside clients, not police them. We provide support, structure, and clear boundaries through policies and guidelines designed to keep every community member safe while honoring their independence. This balance allows clients to stay connected to family, friends, and meaningful aspects of daily life in ways that support healing.

Instead of focusing on what people can’t have or do, we put our energy into helping them strengthen the areas of life they want to improve — finding joy, building purpose, and creating meaning. This integration-focused model empowers clients to practice recovery skills in real-life contexts, preparing them for lasting wellness beyond treatment.

A Community, Not Just a Program

Red Door Life is more than a treatment center; it’s a community of healing, growth, and connection. We believe that recovery flourishes in an environment where people are not isolated but are instead invited into meaningful relationships with one another and the world around them.

Within our community, clients support one another while also serving the greater good. Service is an essential part of our model, whether it’s lending a hand to fellow community members or giving back to the local neighborhood through volunteer projects and outreach.

These acts of service remind us that recovery is not just about personal healing, but about rediscovering purpose and belonging in the wider world.

We also create opportunities for families and friends to stay connected and share in the journey. Every Sunday, we host a community dinner where loved ones are invited to join us around the table. Our chefs prepare incredible meals that nourish both body and spirit, turning dinner into a time for fellowship and celebration. And on holidays, we go even further, preparing meals that honor tradition and create new memories together.

At Red Door Life, community means no one walks alone. Clients, families, friends, and staff all share in building an environment where healing feels possible and where life, in all its richness, can be celebrated.
